First Lets begin with Subway Surfers
Launched in May of 2012 Kiloo made an endless running game that would change all endless running games forever. Unlike its notorious conterpart (temple run) Instead of moving your phone to go side to side you swipe left and right. This is the same way how in these endless running games you swipe up and down to jump or roll/slide.
1. Addictiveness- Subway Surfer is extremely addictive because there is always something to do with the money you earn. Although it took me only a week to get to the level cap of 30, after you reached it you will still find yourself playing the game to max out your skills, unlock new character and beat your high score. Also getting a million in subway surfer takes a lot of hard work and dedication. This strive to get one million makes it all the more addictive.
2. Challenge- Although it is very hard to get a high score it is very easy to buy hoverboards and there are not a lot of different dimension that make the game hard. To tell you the truth the only thing thrown at you that could make the game harder is picking up the super sneaker. Although I love Subway Surfer when it comes to challenging the gamer it really lacks.
Next up Temple Run 2
Lauched in January 2013 Imangi came out with a pretty good sequel to the notorious Temple Run. This game is extremely different from the first and offers features that I believe could make it the best endless running game ever. But I will not use my belief to determine what a good endless running game, instead I will stick to the categories.
1. Addictiveness- This games offers a big amount of variety. You need to buy new characters, new abilties, upgrade these abilty, complete challenges and other things that won't get you away from your phone. Although it is fairly simple to reach 1 million, I'll much rather see myself hitting one million everytime than struggling for 500,000. Points that you can get in these endless running games contribute to it's overall addictiveness not to how challenging the game is.
2. Challenge- Unlike Subway Surfer and Temple run 1, where the only thing that you could do is run. This game switches it up with all the different in game mini running modes which makes the game more challenging. You get to swim in the rivers of death, cart your way through creepy caves and balance on wodden logs. These mini run switches forces you to change the way you are playing and in order to go far you must master each one.
BASED OFF OF FACTS & CATEGORIES THE WINNER IS:
