Season 1 Review of Suits

T.V Series Season 1 Rating: 9                                                              Imdb Rating: 8.9

The Season debut episode was 70 minutes of pure genius. We saw and very smart stoner (Mike Ross) go from making money by cheating on bar test to landing a job with with Harvey Specter (NYC best lawyer). The way Mike Ross fell on Harvey's Specter foot steps was by a series of fortunate events. Although I have high praise for the debut episode, I am not here to review just one episode. Whether you are looking for intense criminal cases, love story, friend story, back stabbing or simply just a funny T.V show, suits has it all. Normally I can dig into the bullshit of a T.V and tell when they are release episode that do not tie with the overall story line. The first episode set the tone for the friends and family in Mike's life and it also set the tone the that Harvey Specter doesn't care who is in his. This show  makes you follow the dialogue since the main characters are lawyer. Lawyer speak in circles and while watching this show you are never too sure how much anybody means what they say. As a screenwriter I am impressed by this technique and happy to see the the public enjoys it too. If you consider yourself an intelligent person I recommend a show like suits. Although the it not one of the shows with cliff hangers at the end of every episode, Every case and every characters actions is a mystery that makes you just want to learn more.

P.S: Meghan Markle plays a huge role. She is so fucking hot. Rating: 9.5

What's better Subway Surfer or Temple Run 2?

This is an epic debate between two power house endless running games that took over the app market. When It comes to which one is better we must look at two different Categories.

PS: The is a downloadable link for Flappy Bird at the bottom of the page for anybody interested.

Categories: Addictiveness, Challenge

First Lets begin with Subway Surfers

Launched in May of 2012 Kiloo made an endless running game that would change all endless running games forever. Unlike its notorious conterpart (temple run) Instead of moving your phone to go side to side you swipe left and right. This is the same way how in these endless running games you swipe up and down to jump or  roll/slide.

1. Addictiveness- Subway Surfer is extremely addictive because there is always something to do with the money you earn. Although it took me only a week to get to the level cap of 30, after you reached it you will still find yourself playing the game to max out your skills, unlock new character and beat your high score. Also getting a million in subway surfer takes a lot of hard work and dedication. This strive to get one million makes it all the more addictive.

2. Challenge- Although it is very hard to get a high score it is very easy to buy hoverboards and there are not a lot of different dimension that make the game hard. To tell you the truth the only thing thrown at you that could make the game harder is picking up the super sneaker. Although I love Subway Surfer when it comes to challenging the gamer it really lacks.

Next up Temple Run 2

Lauched in January 2013 Imangi came out with a pretty good sequel to the notorious Temple Run. This game is extremely different from the first and offers features that I believe could make it the best endless running game ever. But I will not use my belief to determine what a good  endless running game, instead I will stick to the categories.

1. Addictiveness-  This games offers  a big amount of variety. You need to buy new characters, new abilties, upgrade these abilty, complete challenges and other things that won't get you away from your phone. Although it is fairly simple to reach 1 million, I'll much rather see myself hitting one million everytime than struggling for 500,000. Points that you can get in these endless running games contribute to it's overall addictiveness not to how challenging the game is.

2. Challenge-   Unlike Subway Surfer and Temple run 1, where the only thing that you could do is run. This game switches it up with all the different in game mini running modes which makes the game more challenging. You get to swim in the rivers of death, cart your way through creepy caves and balance on wodden logs. These mini run switches forces you to change the way you are playing and in order to go far you must master each one.

BASED OFF OF FACTS & CATEGORIES THE WINNER IS:

The Top Five Best Directors As of TODAY!

1. Christopher Nolan Net worth: 40 million

Every time you watching a Nolan Movie you are at the heels of your chair waiting for the infamous Nolan twist. Whether it be the whole movie shot in reverse order or twin magician, Nolan never fails to leave his audience dazzled. Also with interstellar coming out in December 2014 is a going to be a year that Nolan leaves a even bigger stamp on to the film world. He has hits such as , The Dark night Rises, Momento, The Prestige, Inception and he is only 44. When Nolan is the Director his movie seem to never go wrong. This consistency landed him the top spot on my list of best Directors.

2. Quentin Tarantino Net Worth: 90 million

Although Tarantino is one ugly dude, his films creativity and dialogue landed him the number two spot on my list of best directors. Django showed his all around talent, he is an excellent composer of music and combines a lot of different genres in one film. We all know how good he could get with showing gore in film but his best movie's are Django and the classic Pulp Fiction which shows you how good this guy can tell a story. With another western called Badlanders coming out, do not expect for his buzz to be dying down anytime soon.

3. Steven Spielberg Net Worth: 3.4 Billion

When it comes to Spielberg it is hard to look past all the Grammies and money he has accumulated  not only directing but production of film. When it comes to his directing skills though Spielberg talent cannot be denied, he has the most hits of the century, with movies like, E.T, Jaws, Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, The Adventures of Tintin, Lincoln and Indiana Jones 5 on the way. He has single handily become one of the most influential men in film. If this was an article about the top 5 bosses Spielberg would be number one with very little completion.

4. George Lucas Net Worth: 7.3 billion

Money speaks so I have nothing to say why George Lucas goes here. JK. The reason why George Lucas net worth is so high but is only number 4 on my list is because most of his revenue comes off of video games and his writing skills. Also he landed a star wars contract with Disney last year which nearly double his Net worth.  But I am not blogging to explain why he is rich, rather I am here to explain why his he 4th greatest Director of all time. Star Wars was simply the best film series ever created. It was not only creative but he made us fall in love with a world that he made up where every character had his own story. As you can see this world was so genius that it went beyond just films. This guy mind is clearly out of this world which is why he had to create a new one.

Martin Scorsese Net Worth: 70 Million
Martin earned my respect over these past 2 years and with more hits coming out do not expect the good work stop. He directed titles such as, The Wolf of Wall street, Hugo, The departed, Shutter Island, Good fellas and many more.  It is hard to define has a director since he has such a broad range of talented movies. Martin Scorsese has not problem finding work either, he director over 40 hit movies since 1966. He is a man  that been in the game for a long time now and after The Wolf of Wall street I think it is about time he start getting the respect he deserves. As a screenwriter you can never go wrong when handed Scorsese a script and we are starting to see why this is a great talent to have in film.

Honorable Mention:

Spike Lee- Spike's skills are un-deniable after watching Do the Right Thing and although some would call him a one hit wonder he has made his fair share of profitable films. With The Sweet Blood of Jesus on the way, do not expect for the good work to end.

James Cameron- With both of the all time most selling films belonging to him, you can call Cameron Mr. International. He has such strong passionate movies and he is great at spreading a deeper message within his films. Although I love Cameron, personally Avatar ,Titanic and Terminator weren't my favorite movies to watch. But with 3 more Avatars announced do not expect Cameron net worth of 1 billon to be dropping anytime soon.  Also with people having suicidal thought because they one to live in Pandora Cameron has realism skills live none other before.

The block is hot (s.e.x parody)

Can anybody argue that this guy doesn't have some real talent though?

Is Film School really needed?

Although Film school helps, whether it is needed is a huge question I have. I am an up and coming film director and I question my major a lot. I mean all you can get with a degree  is a film job and you don't need a degree to get a film job. Also some of my favorite directors never even attend school like Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, and James Cameron for starters. How did they make it? Well they made film. The best way to get better at anything is to practice. This concept of practice making perfect is the exact reason why film school can help but is not needed.
A lot of great directors have attended prestigious film schools like, George Lucas (USC), Tim Robbins (UCLA). Others great directors just went to college, Steven Spielberg (CSU), Spike Lee (Morehouse). What all these men have in common is that they work hard and developed skills to get good at film. The most important part of film is doing film and making sure you become elite. This is why school can help but is not needed because the only thing that can really make you good is you. There is a famous saying “it’s not what you know it’s who you know”, and in film it is who you know and how good are you. Some people have the connections and no skill, some people have the skill and no connections and unfortunately most people have no connections and no skill. All these directors practice and practice and that’s how they became good not because they went to a school and thought that it will teach them what they needed to know to get good.
I am not here to bash film school, it can help in a numerous amount of ways. Instead I am trying to promote future directors to start doing the most important thing which is directing. I am a striving screenwriter and director myself and I know there is no “path” to success but with practice there is a path to getting better. Everybody loves the glamor of college but the glamor of hard work is much better. I can't stress enough that in order to be good at film you must practice film as much as you can. James Cameron once said, “There are many talented people who haven't fulfilled their dreams because they over thought it, or they were too cautious, and were unwilling to make the leap of faith.”
Our generation needs to learn that film is not something that you sit down in a class room, watch a movie, and listen to a lecture and become good at it. You must strive for opportunities and continue to get better as a film student. I hope I have inspired and helped you all, like how I have been inspired and as the great Steven Spielberg once said, “You have many years ahead of you to create the dreams that we can't even imagine dreaming.” You have done more for the collective unconscious of this planet than you will ever know.
